Fall Block Swap/So a new adventure begins.
#331
I will pull out all of my swap blocks from previous fall and leaf swaps and see if I can get them all to mesh together. That way I will have a good sized quilt when I am finished. I haven't a clue how it will look, or what the quilt will call for to make it into a top. Until I have them all, I won't know. I guess I am winging it.

NZ Quilter My finished top with just the blocks and the sashing I added is 60.5" X 75". I added a 12" border all around (because I wanted it to have a long drop on the sides) so my final top with borders is 72.5" X 87".
Two years ago I participated in the halloween swap and I didn't sash those blocks together so it's a wall hanging size quilt. I have a picture posted in my album of that quilt if you would like to see a comparison.
Hope this helps!

I thought we'd have a re-cap of all the beautiful blocks that have been sent in. So, if you haven't gotten your blocks to me, please, if you want to participate, please get them mailed off to me. I'm still waiting on 4 people. And, I know 2 of them have already mailed in their blocks.
So, let the show begin.....

And,
And, here is a photo of the 1 extra blocks. A lot of them are different, so, if I don't need them, One of you ladies will have a lot of different blocks to work with.
I think you all will have fun putting your quilts together. There is a great variety of blocks in both content, sizes and fabric. I know you will have so much fun!!
About the mailing, I will be walking them into my local post office. All of them will be checked for accuracy and I will make sure to have a tracking number for them all.

Hello ladies I was talking to Judith bout maybe hosting the next block swap any suggestions on what you all would like to do. I know that there has been some suggestions already but more the merrier. I am not for sure If I want to do a spring or winter theme or something completely different. I know I want to make a decision so that once we receive the fall blocks I can post for the next block swap of course this is after I get approval. I am working on that now. Like I said any suggestions will be welcome.
