Judith, mailed 2 sets - but without an extra block - just a fat quarter in a fall color
'Finished is better than perfect' & 'Mailed is better than good intentions' - didn't want to wait one more day.
The blocks produced by all of you are goals to me: to be able to turn out blocks as stunning, creative, and precise.
Armylady, bravo to you for being willing to take on the next swap.
Here's an idea to throw into the ring: met a lady who as a young girl had been sent to a Japanese internment camp with her family, She was showing me some of her drawings. There are scenes from the camp, and what I guess could be called drawings of gratitude for simple pleasures: a pair of shoes, a beautiful sunset, a piece of candy, etc. I thought maybe we could do gratitude blocks. Well now I that I write it, this idea might be too complicated and not unifying enough for a quilt... I mean, one could be grateful for the remote control...or a piston engine! Hm. Never mind. LOL I'll keep thinking.

A gratitude quilt is a wonderful idea. I just think it's a bit personal. Like mine, would have to do with my religion, family, grands and pets etc. This might not work for someone else. But, still, a nice idea. I just about finished a quilt that had 12 inspirational words. It was a lot of fun, a skill builder and very uplifting.

I could definitely get into a Santa Claus block exchange. I have 3 small grandchildren. It would make a wonderful gift with a couple of Christmas books. It would be great if all the blocks were 12.5 in. sq.

Yay! We are so close to the finish of the swap. I bet you are chomping at the bit judith, to get it all done. I know that is how I felt when I used to host.
It will be over a hundred here today. I don't think the sewing room will be very comfortable to work in. :~( Maybe I will bring down hand work to the family room. Yeah, that's the ticket!
Our local quilt show is the last days of this month. I haven't gone to one in three years. I am thinking it might be fun seeing some of my old buddies from the guild and browsing would be a great outing. I really don't need any more projects to work on. I am way behind now.
