I am glad I found this thread again. Wondered what happened especially since I already send in all my fabrics. An unsettling feeling to suddenly have it close when the swap is still actively going.

I am with Yosamitesa. I would love to see a picture of all the batiks but then I am not know for being overly patient.

What are people planning to do with the batiks? I think I will look at some of the patterns posted in the other thread. Some really peaked my interest.

Yes, sorry about that Anna.. I wanted the admin to 'close' the swap not lock it.. but it was easier to make a new thread..

IM a hoarder of batiks.. cant say ive ever used my batiks unless it was scraps.... but there was a pattern on scrap therapy that i absolutely love.. Maybe im saving to make that..

The house quilt is a great idea for these batiks! I have that large half hexi template, so it's definitely going onto my "possibility" list. Thanks for the suggstion.

I am really looking forward to getting these batiks! It seems like forever ago that I mailed them off.

I don't have the template but I think I can make something out of card board or draw the lines on the fabric, sew and then cut. I also think it might be cute to add some flower, trees or bushes in the open spaces next to the houses. I am not sure if I will use the batik blocks or blocks from the Bold and Bright swap, next months layer cake swap, for this pattern. I have enough white fabric for back ground but not enough of the same light batik to do this pattern with batiks. Of course I could do the back ground scrappy too.

Waiting is hard.
