Yes I did google and went to Pinterest to check out the mug rugs. They are so cute and you are so right about trying a new technique on them.
I am definitely going to make some for myself.

Dwina you sure have a lot of snow. You have a nice house too and especially on the water. More snow coming. Oh and I forgot that I got a stilletto and machine needles too.

Pat your swap pkg is sweet. Love the fabric on the needle case. I really like those decorative beaded pins. Love the personalized ones. Jaba does great work. She put walunt shells in mine and it is nice and heavy. It has become my daily PC. The other side of my house is where we park our vehicles. That all has to be snow blown and shoveled. DH has to shovel some areas of the dogs yard. The last storm we had to keep the doors free from snow so we could get out. The dogs tried to get to the yard and they couldn't make it, had to shovel 4ft of drifted snow off the porch. The deck on the front hasn't been too bad, but has to be shoveled. The lower set of stairs are always buried as well. Maybe I can sell bottled maine snow. On Prince Edward Island they sell bottled red/pink sand. I could send it to all of you down south. All I need is a refrigerated truck.

I'll take the sand. I collet san fro all over. why is it pink there? Is it like Bermuda Pink sand?
When I was there on my honeymoon, I collected some sand. For my housewarming favors, I took those little glass candles and put the sand on the outside with small shells. they came out quite nicely. Love all my sand and all the colors.
Dwina, i'll trade you LI snow for Maine snow.

Lynnie I don't know why the sand is pink. I will trade you 2 boxes of maine snow for 1 box of LI snow of equal size. I am not selfish and love to share!
