Louise I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 42 yrs. I would love to buy one of your designs when you figure out what you want for it please PM me. It's very pretty.I love the red gem as the blood drop.

Louise, how much will they be? Nice to hang from the rear view mirror in the car.
where did you get the design from?

Mary, I'm afraid they are going to put me on insulin, is it bad?

Mary - I have only been a diabetic since August 2005. On insulin since
August 2009, and on an insulin pump since November 2010.

I went on the pump because my diabetes would not stay under control
with just insulin. I was having to use 7-14 needles PER DAY for my injections.
My body looked like I was being abused, not very many places that could
be "used" for insulin injection that didn't have bruises.

The pump has helped some, but I am on a higher concentration of insulin
which when converted to "regular" insulin is still about 325-450 units per
    day.

Lynnie - I got the design from an etsy store called embhome
it is actually a "pink" ribbon design which I used the grey thread to make.

I have a couple more designs that I will be using also.

As for how much I plan on selling them for? wellllllllll there in lies my dilema
I have no clue yet how much to ask for them.
Was talking to a co-worker today who has a daughter that is type 1 diabetic.
He was thinking that $10 would be a good starting price.

But my goal is to SELL these not have people to look at me like I am crazy
(well I AM crazy, but that is a whole different story). I want people to be
    willing to buy them.

I only want to be able to keep just enough money to pay for more supplies
and donate the rest for research, funding, or even help kids at the camp you
    told me about.

So anyone have any ideas for a cost?

I also plan to enlarge the size so that I can turn some into ornaments (at least
try a few in larger sizes).

DH and I have been married 33 years that is if we make it to april 1 st. We were both 19 when we got married. We were both 25 when DD came along. It hasn't always been easy, but love has brought us through. We were just kids, but we have made it.
I think $10 would be a good price. DH has been insulin dependant for about 15 yrs. He has an insulin pump. I have had type 2 for about 10 yrs. I take 5-6 needles per day, if I behave and watch my diet I can get down to 3. If I lost enough weight I could possibly not have to take insulin or at least not so much. DH is not like that he will always have to have insulin. The diabetes is effecting his eyes. My DD lost 105 lbs. just my cutting down on portions and working extremely hard this summer and fall. She really looks good.

Louise, contact Redgarnet, she sees a lot of items handmade for pricing for the auctions, maybe she a can help.
Besides the quilt, I plan on donating some mugrugs. maybe some pincushions and keyrings and stuff I've made in the past. Maybe some pillowcases and maybe even some pillows.

    Default Lynnie got goodies!!

Hi Lynnie asked me to post these delights for her...she received them in the swap. They really are wonderful. The needles case is big enough to hold crazy Lynn's hexies on the go. Bravo!

Susan what awful devastation from that ice storm! I've never seen something that bad from ice. Did you have any damage at your house?
