I have great Kitty news! My daughters cat, now ours, long story.......Has been on steroids and antihistamines every day for over 2 yrs. He was so itchy, he was pulling all his fur out! Anyway, I have successfully weaned him from the drugs and "NO PULLING" for almost a month now. I'm so excited! Pilling a cat is not the easiest of things to do. I feel so free And he's not in itchy agony any more.

I love the little quilting bees and I see the scissors too! great fabric.
pilling a cat is a three man circus at the best!! and then you're only successful 1/2 the time.
I found if I crushed the pill and added water I could use a syringe to squirt it down their throat.

Mary those are sweet quilting bees.
Teresa that is great for your kitty.
Thanks Lynnie for the kitty facts. Now I know why years ago when I was in my twenties, I had a orange kitty I named Henrietta, but ended up having to change that to Henry. lol.. He was so so cute, and lovable.
Lynnie, what are white cats usually? We miss our big white cat Charlie.
I also would have no problem adopting a blind kitty or doggie. We miss terribly our dog Buddy who passed away before Christmas. He was blind, and he went everywhere the others did. We showered him with all our love. He was a Cardigan Corgie Mix, but mostly Cardigan Corgie with his short legs. He was the best little man. We now have our Matilda (mostly Australian Shepard), Lil'Anne (mostly Golden Retriever, and very chatty), and our little Bonnie (mostly Yorkie), and the attitude to go with it. She is my shadow.
I think with the hexagons you can do so much with them, including like others said about even making table toppers etc. I like being able to work on them sitting in my easy chair. lol... I finished one last night doing some pretty embroidery on it for a friend to be sent off.
I did try out my first of the pretty pattern I found the other day (not a hexie). It is so pretty, and I am going with it for my partner on here. I am now deciding whether to use it for all of them or a variation of the theme it sets.
Have a great day everyone, and can't wait to see more coasters. This is so much fun.

tlambling -- what a pretty kitty. I've always loved black cats (don't tell Arthur ... who is my avatar). So glad he's not itchy anymore. Our dog Jack was put on steroids etc. for the very same thing. Nothing seemed to help. We discovered quite by accident, when we changed groomers, that the previous one was using harsh shampoo for humans on him. The new one uses what I thought the first one was using.
Mary -- love the fabrics you used in your coasters. Lovely! Now the recipient has to invite all of us over to her sewing room for tea & a bit of fondling of the fabrics!
