I was talking to my oldest sister, Lillian, a couple of weeks ago and mentioned two distinctly separate events:
    a. Rod, my husband, was out with Blaze, my son, and his groom’s men ordering rental tuxedos
    b. I was depressed

Big sister Lillian later spoke with the family matriarch, my aunt, Camille, who is very old and serverely ill.

The "telephone game" went into full swing.

It turned into me being depressed because Rod and Blaze are out renting tuxedos.

Aunt Camille calls my other sister, Joan, who is a complete control freak. She tells her that I am depressed because the boys are out renting tuxedos so she wants to buy me a dress.

Joan calls me to tell me she is taking me shopping and the dress is on Camille.

I would rather have all my teeth pulled without Novocain than go shopping with Joan.

    Really.

So … I told her I was making my own dress.

Then I told her I was going to wear a sari.

She responded by sending me a link to David’s Bridal mother’s dresses.

So … I sent her this and told her I bought it. Complete with a crown.

I didn’t but I’m not telling her that!

I actually bought this one in light blue.

Now I have something nice to wear to the crematorium at a later date.

    Told you I was fresh!
do they have this dress in light blue, it shows its teal.

Thelma, yes, I ordered the light blue. There's a little button at the bottom to show it in that color.

    Great packages, everyone!

Yes, my day job really makes it hard to get anything done! I told my hubby I need to quit and just sit and sew and he looked horrified!

Default Received my wonderful SP package today!

I received my lovely package today from catpawski (Sandy). She stuffed that envelope till it was near bursting. I love everything she sent, thanks Sandy! I got some lovely fall color fabric, a simplicity pattern for sewing accessories, some Mary Engelbreit note cards, a purple sparkly pen, row marking safety pins, a pattern for a whirligig quilt, the cutest owl plastic pouch with matching post it notes, some quilt labels, Angel stickers, cute eraser and a large flower paper clip. I'm a happy girl :-)

Hoe to get to go home tomorrow. I have been in the hospital since Sunday evening. Felt really bad when i woke up and it just got worse so I flipped a coin...call Marty .... call 911. Called Marty I didn't think I could walk down to my car and put the walker in the back. Called Marty and worn a mask, in my defense I DID offer to call 911 and she wouldn't hear of it. A flair up of COPD, nothing bad. Such lovely packages I have been seeing! Keep it up. I have 11 who have not mailed yet and 26 who have not received yet.
