For the March Patriotic theme I was thinking of: Patriotic red w/ white or Patriotic blue w/ white and, of course, each set of 6 need to be the same.

    April and May described above.

June - chocolate covered cherries - one brown and one pink per block

July - Batiks Revisited will be just like January

August - red Christmas print w/ a green 'blender' or a green Christmas print w/ a red 'blender'

    Hope that helps!

I was so excited, finished and checked over and labeled my blocks. Got the envelope that we had sent away for and Sweedie called to see for sure the amount of postage and they said 19.95. What? Found out we had the wrong envelope so we called around to the three PO nearby and NONE of them had the right envelopes so I have to wait to send my 6 sets. And they want to keep ALL these dinky little post offices open and yet not one could service us in what we need. No wonder they loose money every year! Just venting, I am not really that cranky as a rule.

Could someone please either post some Civil war fabric or a pic of what an April block would look like? Thank-you so much. I am really trying with my squares. I hope I am making them okay, if not please tell me. I have had my left cornea replaced and the end of February they will replace my right one. So right now I am using one eye to sew. I really loved all the blocks I have received so far. thank-you everyone!

Quilt lover Grandma - those are wonderful!

This is going to be a great swap. I'm so glad you gals stepped up to the 'challenge' of the slightly different block. Everything looks great.

    Boop56 -

    Here are a few examples:

    Hope that helps.

Go to www.quiltshops.com. In the search line enter 'Civil War' and click on thumbnails. You'll find pages and pages of great examples.

I think they don't stock them in the post offices because people would take them for free and use them for other purposes. Whenever I order them online, it is only 2 or 3 days til I get them.

Thanks for that other viewpoint on why the post office doesn't have the padded priority envelopes. I suppose that really could be. But all is well, got the envelopes yesterday and tomorrow they will be posted to Jane. Now onto to the civil war blocks. This is fun! I have to remember to sign up for that one when she opens it up. And then make sure I have enough envelopes!
