Deb, my poinsettias went out on Tuesday instead of Monday. I had some major problems with my machine that I never experienced before. It needs to go to the doctor as I was unable to get it working right. It skipped stitches terribly. The zig zag was awful - the buttonhole didn't even form the shape and let's put it this way, even the straight stitch skipped like crazy. It worked great while piecing - I have know clue what happened. I changed threads and needles, oh so many different types of bobbins, cleaned and cleaned it, oiled it and even daringly took the cover off.

I am truly embarrassed by the end result. If anyone decides that they'd like to mail back my block to me. I would be happy to repair it (after my machine gets fixed) and reimburse you for mailing it back to me. I've just had too many tears over this.

Don't worry about this, I will make a note not to send one of yours back to you.

Patti, thank you for your kind words. Sadly...( and with alot of frustration)...I have had three more drop out at the truly 'last minute', I am almost besides myself in this swap. I will have to look at all the blocks that are in and go from there. I ask once again, that you all be patient with me as try to get this succesful. Patti, I do have your other blocks and they will come together. Please just give me a little more time to work this out.

Some are wondering if the blocks have been mailed yet....I am still waiting for one set. I will lay all of them out and then swap them. I will need a little time to get this done - working 6am - 11pm till the end of the week. Again, I ask for your (overextended) patience with this swap. Lots of things had happened that caused many issues with this swap. They will be coming, and they are all beautiful.

    Deb,

No worries! We can wait. Even if we don't have a total of 12 swappers, I am sure no one would mind getting duplicates. Please know that we understand how this swap has had more than it's share of difficulties, and I know that you will be able to make it happen in spite of it all

Thanks for hanging in there, and know that we appreciate all that you do :0)

Okay all of us flakes and flowers. Here is the final count as of 5:20pm 12/15. I have flakes from Wholeheart mom, annaquilts, lindak, dorides, embquilter, sharonb. krisb (2 sets), islandwiz, monalisa and pattiis47. I am waiting for sapdoggie's.
Flowers - robertb, annaquilts, embquilter, sherrir (4 - whew) islandwiz, monalisa, myself(2) and waiting for sapdoggie's flowers. We have just 12 for each. With the changeover from the antiquated system to this board, either due to family emergencies, health issues or other issues, - I had 7 people drop out . All in all, that is alot of blocks to be shorted. I understand life gets in the way of life. We ALL have been there. This swap will work out, it always seems to despite the adversities that get in our way of good intentions. As soon as sapdoggies get here,( she was mailing them on Monday - and with the increased seasonal mail, it may take till Fri or even Sat for them to get here), flakes and flowers will be arriving at your house. Again, thanks to all of you for your patience in this swap. And no, the leaves on the pointsettias have not turned brown and curled up and the flakes have not melted.

    Deb,
I am so glad I stumbled into your swap. I've learned so much and truly enjoyed making these. So much so that I plan on making my dear Mother-in-law a lap quilt with this pattern. I know she'll love it!

I hope you do another swap. I'll be there!!

Deb--so thankful that you are willing to do all of this extra work. And Sheri stepping up the way she did--awesome.
