Sharon, You are just too much!!! I do have Monday off, and it IS January.......so instead of cleaning up the Laundry room, I guess that I can take a look at the design block I have picked out and start working on it and doing the step by step. OKAY, I have been browbeaten enough.....(hahahaha) I will get started on it.

Well, I did look at the pattern that I had chosen, and realize that if I did just the 12 inch block, it would be so very, very plain. So, after searching for something similar, I have decided to do a modified Churn Dash block. I have found a pattern that changes the center to be 8-1/2 x 8-1/2, with the 'framing strips' and corner blocks to be a bit smaller. I feel this is a perfect block pattern to showcase your focus piece. After I request swap permission from Patrice about the upcoming swap, I will begin to post. The actual pattern and instructions are found here, at this link. http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...churn_dash.htm
What do you think of this block?
Happy Quilting in the New Year!!

That block is really cool. Now like Sharon, I'm waiting for themes so I can go stash shopping.

Sent the PM to Patrice. Waiting for her okay....and I will post the new swap. I already have a sample block done. But I don't know how to post. Wanted to post to this thread....Sharon, can you help me? Went to the help section on how to post pic, but don't see the framed tree icon.....

Okay, found the icon, but the pic failed to take. I guess it needs to be resized.....not sure how to do that.

Deb what photo program do you have on your computer ? You should be able to open the pic on your computer then click Edit - look for resize ?
