    I am awaiting 2 packages and then they will be ready to mail out to all of you! I just washed and dried some fabric to add into the swap as I haven't heard from one person. Hopefully byy next week they will be heading your way.

    I'm so sorry it's taking me longer than I expected to get this extra set out, everyone, It has been an awful 3 days. We were hit by lightning Sat AM and we spend all day Sat replacing items. Yesterday was spent dealing with the servicemen for cable and AC/furnace. The AC guy was here from 11:00 until 6:15. The lightning blew a whole in the copper tube that the freon goes thru and totally emptied it. 9 lbs at $42.00/lb. Ouch. Just went downstairs tonight Tuesday) and the hot water pipe has a hole in it right were it was touching the cable that comes in from our ham radio tower. The lightning took out our garage door opener, cable, phone, router and network card on computer, AC and furnace. The blessing is that it didn't hit the house and start a fire. God is good. I had a procedure on my back at 2:00 this afternoon and it hurts like heck. Then at 12:30 am, I picked up 4 newborn kittens (less than 2 days) old. Hopefully we will catch the mom in the morning and reunite them. It will make so much less work for me and be better for the babies. I still have the little orphaned 5 1/2 week old baby but he is eating solid food now except for 1 bottle a day. Two of the fabrics are all cut and the third is taking longer due to it having to be fussy cut so everyone will get a whole kitty, not just part of one. I apologize for the delay but since mine were a replacement set, I know it makes it even later for everyone else. I'll get it done as quickly as I possibly can. I aiming for Thursday or if I'm really lucky, by 5:00 tomorrow. Please be patient with me.

    My goodness, what a lot of things to happen at once. I agree - at least the house wasn't affected. It is easier to replace some items from the house than it is to replace a house struck/burned by a lightning strike. I am glad you are safe, and hope the treatment works for relieving your back pain.

    Wendy thank you for keeping everyone updated. The rest of the blocks are sorted and when I get yours and the other set I will sort those, only take a few minutes and then get them packaged and to the post office. Sorry you have had such a terrible time, if there is anything I can do to help just let me know. Thanks for filling in.

    Wendy So sorry for all your problems {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}
    Don't feel bad that you are not done yet, remember you are helping out with an extra set and we all understand life happens . First and foremost take care of yourself , your health and home are more important then getting the squares and finishing a swap .

    Hope things settle down for you soon

    Thanks everyone for the good thoughts. I reunited the 4 little newborns with their mom last night and she is nursing her babies. PTL! She is scared to death of me but I hope to show her how nice it is to be loved. They don't call me the 'cat whisperer' for nothing, lol. The back is feeling better and I'm scheduled to have the nerves severed the 18th. Everything is now back to normal from the lightning strike except that I found water dripping from the hot water pipe and there is a hole in it. The wire coming down from the ham radio tower was laying across it and force blew the wire apart and then went through the pipe. It is unbelievable the force of lightning. I really appreciate everyones support and caring. I feel so blessed to have a group of friends like all of you. Gotta get going and work on my 'to do' list. Thanks again everyone.
