Thanks Deb and all the swappers. I was worried I couldn't get the blocks in on time due to the delays caused by the weather here and the Memorial Day mail holiday.

    Deb- enjoy your vacation ;) ;) ;)

    I am packing for Shipshewanna :!: :!: :!:

Yes, I have found that the quilters who have been in the past three swaps with me (we are becoming quite a little groupie) are a very generous, considerate gathering of quilters. I do thank all of you for your flexibility.

Robert, what did I miss....did you do something special????
Yes he did. I took him up on his offer of cutting out my fall plate leaves. I sent him the fabric and he cut them and is returning them to me. It will be great not to have to cut them out.

I won't have to miss any of you, the laptop is coming along with me. I now have to get a bunch of hand sewing ready to take alone with me. I want to start my sashiko, but I just cant figure out how to transfer the patterns onto the fabric. I tried the transfer paper, but that didn't work well. I have Susan Briscoe's book and want to do the sashiko block pictured there.

    Hey Deb,
Which book of Susan Birscoe do you have: The Ultimate Sashiko Sourcebook or
Japanese Sashiko Inspirations: 25 Ways To Explore A Traditional Technique? When I was active with EGA I took several classes in Japanese Embroidery. I love laying each of the stitches in silk thread. It was amazing to me how laying the same thread in a different way changed the texture of the pattern. Although it is very time consuming it is absolutely gorgeous when it is completed.

You can sign up for the fall blocks. I have extended the absolute deadline to Saturday July 9th. I will be back on the 10 and will swap and mail out on Tuesday. I will put you on the fall roster. I have posted a pic that Robert graciously allowed me to put on as the sample.
