medallion has no specific size; whatever suits the centre and not necessarily just a plain border (perhaps applique or blocks or something)

    page 5; next due date June 30. row length 84 1/2" I think (7x 12 + 1/2 seam)

So are we going by the instructions in the rules on the medallions? The instructions say:

Borders should be between 3" and 6"

Round 1 -- pieced border triangles
Round 2 -- appliqued border or machine embroidered
Round 3 -- pieced border, rectangles or squares
Round 4 --embellishment or border of your choice
    Round 5 -- apliqued border

That's what I was wondering because I didn't do that on debes medallion I didn't read it first.the problem with that is some don't feel comfortable to do appliqué and some may not have an embroidery machine. I think it's good for ideas but I think people should decide what there row will be.

some where in this thread is this very discussion and we decided to make the medallion whatever you wanted to put since no one wanted it to be so perscriptive (?sp). So do whatever designs you want on the medallions.

so, yes we agreed it was personal preference i just never updated the "guidelines"

Thanks for clarifying...I was about to panic! I have just cut out what I was going to do the a first round on a medallion and it wasn't triangles.
Happy Memorial Day to everyone-hope there's wonderful weather everywhere to start the summer season.
