My favourite is that in some provinces Doctors are not essential services but nurses are so doctors can strike and nurses can't. (at least, as a nurse, I find that funny and great :) )
Debe that is funny. Is healthcare free in Canada? I have friends in Australia that have told me theirs is free. That would be great as we don't have health-insurance, so can't afford to go to the Drs.

I am so glad that June is over with..it has been a totally crazy month for us. July will hopefully be much better. Have a happy 4th you all!

Karen D...here's your medallion with my contribution. It will be on it's way to Tealfalcon tomorrow. The oragami flowers you did sort of stumped me for a while until the light bulb finally went off and said to continue with the flower theme. The colors do not show as purple and lavendar that they truly are. It was fun and I enjoyed my time with your medallion.

yes; health care is free...i am so glad to be Canadian because of that :P It does make our taxes a bit higher but at least I never have to fear being sick. I always point out to my American friends that even with all the high tech toys; you have a lower life expectancy and a higher mortality rate. I am glad that if I ever get cancer I may not get the new experimental drugs but I will get ones that are proven to be effective without worrying about how i will pay for it...okay enough of my "I am proud to be Canadian" speech

Joyce I LOVE IT!!! It is beautiful! Thank YOU!

Debe...I would be so happy to be able to get healthcare when needed. Can't blame you for being proud to be Canadian. I think our healthcare system stinks, to be honest, no offense meant to any one, but there are far to many people here that can't get the help they need. Now I'll shut up before I really offend someone.
