red garnet thank you for the info on the interfacing. i take most of my classes at windy moon. Sugested a smaller needle and a heaver stabilizer. Also said the fabric was thin and said yeah well since the cotton shortage all fabric has been getting thinner. She said I now that all we have been hearing. $25 later walked out with new things to try. Should have just waited for your reply as would have been cheaper, lol. SAid try a smaller needle and heavier stabilizer.

This is good information. Sure am glad I have a lot of thicker "stash" fabric on hand. Heard the price of cotton batting and fabric is going up 30 percent. Have seen this in our small local quilt shop.

Thanks for sharing all the information they gave you. I am sure it helps other people on the board when it comes time for them to embroider like you do.

I am so sad that you have to pay the price of what velvet used to be for a decent weight cotton fabric to quilt with.

What a world we live in. SPOOKY I tell Ya, SPOOKY...!!

Edited to say this is funny... we posted at the exact same time.
Makes you want to run out and buy all the batting that you need, huh?
