It's even funnier when she curves around and her head nearly touches her back!!  The line drawing in the book I saw at the quilt shop was that exact curved pose!!! It was perfect, and I was so disappointed that the book was too expensive!

I often find fun drawings and pictures on clip art and coloring book pages for free. I'm fairly confident I'm not infringing on copyrights either, since they are meant to be used by the public. Of course, I'm not selling them either, just for personal use. There are many fun websites with coloring pages for kids than can be adapted to applique. Lots of free clip art too, if you have a good word processing program like microsoft word. Here is a link to a website with fun cat coloring pages, for instance...http://www.coloring-pages-kids.com/c...es-gallery.php I like this site to, I embroidered one simple coloring page on white fabric for my funky chicken quilt, and it's adorable.....http://raisingourkids.com/coloring-pages/index.html

Fox, thanks for the links...those are great coloring pages for thses swaps, lots of really cute poses!

Patty...can you take a pic of her, blow it up and trace the outline of her body? I've done that with my cat before and did a portrait of her.

bookworm....sure wish you did have time...a set is only 6 blocks..so thats not too bad..Maybe you could slip a set in somehow..they are fun!

I was actually thinking of doing that if I can't find one already done. ;)

I decided that this guy just HAD to be made and join in the swap. I got almost a full set of these cut out today. I'll do the dots, whiskers and mouth with white embroidery DMC thread.
DH says he looks like a love sick tom cat...so I think he'll be named "LoveSick"
