I really hope that when you get all the blocks, you take pictures for us. Unless somebody does six sets, they will not get one of every block made, so it would be nice to see what everyone did.

And sign-ups don't close until mid-March, so it could turn out to be many more. The more the merrier, and although I'd love to have one of each too, I know there's no way I'll get 6+ sets done. :-(

I can do that...I'll try to take pics of the entire flock together, then I'm sure people will post their flock when they get them home. Thats what usually happens. I do hope that I will actually finish a quilt with them...I have envelopes of swap blocks that need to be put together..its part of my goals for this year...who knows though...

Gahhh! I thought I was on top of things doing four sets! Why did you have to tell me six?! Now I'm compelled to make two more....

Sandpat, I'm compulsive I think. Lol.

Would it be ok if I made some funky chicken (pieced) blocks using some funny fabric? I want to make some 3" by who knows how long blocks. (Tall and skinny.)

Yes! There is NO reason that all the funky chicken block are appliqued or embroidered. Pieced blocks are always welcome and fun! We will need those tall and skinnies and also some skinny wides to make our "puzzle" blocks play together nicely

My son came in while I was working on my first block and asked if he could have it. He ended up sleeping with the block that night. Then next morning, I asked him if I could have the block back and he asked if I could make him a pillow out of it instead. So, I gave in.

Here are the completed blocks for my first set (plus one for me!)

He picked out the back fabric.
