Owl...I usually draw my own patterns, but if I'm not "feeling it", then I will google images of whatever and look for clip art or cartoons. So, this one, I drew and I also drew the hot dawg one. The applique technique isn't mine though...saw a tute here

It is perfect for the funky swaps I think!!

Thanks to all of you, so happy you like him! I might make a couple of sets of him if lots of you like him. That way there will be a few more to pass around. A friend named him Phydeaux...I think it fits!

Debs..I get it! You have a load to feed everyday..along with all the other things that go with doing that! And a DH to spend time with...it does cut into the sewing time!

    Thanks for the site.
I think I will do some of that applique instead of all raw edge. I am going to do my salute to my little cuddles, a toy poodle. Will be working on those shortly. Have to get a child off to college now. I do have some 6.5 blocks ready that I may still do some log cabin sides to make them larger. I will be making two sets of embroidery dogs. Got some really cute designs off the web so want to share the funky dogs. These are smaller because my hoop does not go real large. I am excited. Not sure if you signed me up yet. I will have most of July to do this swap.
