Love your swaps Mariposa! I'm also enjoying a Boomerang swap.

By the way, I'm putting my funky chickens on the floor but can someone give me a funky block tutorial on how to put this all together so it looks right? I have some cuuuuute additions for the set to complete it but how do I pull it all together?

Maybe we will have some cute animals, farm equipment, and who knows what else!

Hey Jami, look at the funky chicken swap thread, I just posted mine completed, and others are posting their layouts. I combined sizes to get larger more uniform blocks and then used a single fabric lattice to tie them together. On my second one (should have taken a photo, but didn't yet) I used blocks with similar color schemes, again combined blocks and fillers to get larger and uniform sizes, and then again used a single fabric as lattice to frame and contain! Chickens are escape artists and flighty, so you gotta keep'em under control! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Fox...sorry to take the thread off topic..or maybe it was still topic, anyway..I find the yaks just sooo cool!

Jami...just keep moving the blocks around, it is kind of like a jigsaw puzzle. Do a search on the board for Chicken quilt and you will find several different ideas. Just have fun with it!
