    A thistle is indeed a pokey weed! A bull thistle is HUGE prickly weed with pretty prickly purple flowers. Pretty much all thistles are difficult to eradicate and the bain of farmer's lives. I'm picturing a thistle bloom that is a purple bull.

    Oh, if you only knew how much I hate those things!!! Have you ever stepped on one barefooted???.....while trying to dodge a cow pile of course!

    Oh, I've gotten poked too many times to count. It's really best not wear flip-flops outside around here. Sometimes it just can't be helped though--like when you're in labor, have swollen feet, and have to go find your husband who is fields away cussin' those cows :roll:
