Wow- they are terrific, but you've set the bar pretty high - I don't think mine (still in my mind) will be quite that complex. Love your brick fabric and hanging quilts!

The song in my head has switched from "Funky Town" to . . . "She's a Brick House". LOL. Those are so great! Thanks for posting!

Oh yeah ... I think we all want a brick house now. That song came to mind immediately -- did you have to google the words or are you a true child of the 70's and 80's?

My DD saw them this morning and said, "Mom, I LOVE the new quilt you're making." I was like "What?" She said, "The ones on the design board." When I told her that those were for an exchange and that I would be giving them away she was a little upset. Luckily I have some more of the fabric I told her I'd make more. She suggested that I do a whole quilt of different outhouses. HHhhhmmmmmm......

    Just a bit of trivia:
In the Bahamas they used to have (maybe still do) a beauty contest called the "Brickhouse Beauty Pageant" in Febuary. You have to not just tip the scales but really make them groan in order to enter. In 1987 (the year I was there and no, not in the contest) the woman that won was over 500lbs. They do the swimsuit, evening gown and talent just like any other pageant. People come from all over the world to watch. It's one of the biggest events of the year---no pun intended.

The first thing that comes to my mind with that song is Kurt Browning. He did a skating routine to it a number of years ago. Strange, the things that stick in your memory . . . .

I got one of my next "set" done but I don't know if I like it. It seems pretty dark to me. Should I lighten the roof, the house, both?
