I keep coming back to this topic.
I love houses. Any type.
The first house shown as an example looks like it's mostly appliqued but the second example looks all pieced.
The site you posted gives directions for the pieced.
Am I right in thinking it can be a combination of both?
Or should it be either pieced or appliqued?
I will probably sign up but wanted to be clear on what you expect.
I'll make a few and experiment first before I commit.

I would like the house structure itself pieced, but after that you are welcome to do whatever you want. The pieced part of the houses will give them a kinda, sorta unified look (since things will get crazy I am sure!! :)). But if you want to appliqué on curtains, trees, dogs, flowers, granny in a chair on the porch out front, you are more than welcome to.
I hope this answers your questions and I hope you’ll join us!!
Cheers!
