You guys are getting me all excited!!! No, not that way! Excited about the blocks again. I must admit that after the first two sets, then the selvege house (that one stays here) I had gotten a bit of a quilter's block. Now I'm ready to go again. We may all end up with king sized Funky Neighborhood quilts when this it through. LOL
I'm having so much fun that I can't wait to see what the next swap is---is that crazy or what?

Brain Burp: what about a house with wings??? (you know, ---a house fly)

Okay that’s just mean, you made me literally laugh out loud at work!!!! Don’t be going and getting me in trouble like that!! You HAVE to do this, that is so funny!!!!

Sadly I have been contemplating the next funky swap as well!! :) But we’ll wait till our neighborhood is built before we go there, we don’t want funky to lose its luster!! (Sometimes too much of a good thing is too much)

I am super excited to build a few houses this weekend though, your “house fly” has got me thinking even funkier now!! Keep the ideas rolling!!

Maybe it's the stress of trying to achieve that perfect quilt but this "funky" stuff is just plain fun. I had to take time off yesterday for a BOM, fabric shopping and church last night but I'm ready to go today. First I have to wash some more fabric. My head is buzzing with ideas:
    House of Blues
    House of Fabric--sewing motifs
Hog house (and yes, I have fabric with pigs)
    I'm going to do a Peace-ful house
Angel fabric for a Heavenly House
If I could find fabric with Hugh Lory's(sp?) picture on it I'd do a House House. LOLOLOL
Heaven help us if I find fabric with hookers on it.

Okay ladies, enough of this chit chat and silly humor. I'm ready to build the houses for the Funky Neighborhood. The guys are all here and it looks like they're raring to go so let's get busy.

Do you think that should be the 'medalion' for my quilt? I'm not sure DH would like it too much.

They're from the Heavy Equipment collection by Alexander Henry (what would we do without him?) 2006. I was going through my stash and came across them this morning and I couldn't resist. So far they're just pressed on I haven't stitched around them yet but I couldn't wait.
