  Rapture AND Karen! I love all the new houses...and the new quilt shop...afterall...which of us would want to live in a neighborhood with no quilt shop...even if it is funky!!!

Rapture...I guess I've told my age too, the 1st dog song that came to my mind was..."Ain't nuttin' but a Hound Dog"....So...Jailhouse Rock really belongs on the box set!!

YEA!!!! another one joins the group. We're going to have so many houses we just might to go from Funky Neighborhood to Funky Town or maybe even Funky City!!! This is fun, I'm going to have to join some future swaps. Question for old timers at the swap thing-----are they all this much fun?

I think all swaps are super fun. I only join swaps where I know I will use the items I get back, so I know it’s going to be low stress for me because I want to make the blocks I have promised to. I will say though, I am in an off board swap hosted at Flickr, and no one talks at all in that one (Sometimes it’ll be a week before anyone posts!), but the blocks we make are great and it’s fun to do the actual swapping still. I guess we just love to chat over here!!! :) You should join other swaps if there are ones that interest you!!!

PS. I will be hosting a simple Red and Aqua brick swap soon, beginning of May. We will just cut rectangles out of Red and Aqua fat quarters and trade so you can have a variety of red and aquas to make a quilt with. No sewing involved, but I have wanted to make a red and aqua quilt for a while, so I am looking forward to having a variety of fabrics to make one with! Keep en eye out if you want to join another simple swap!

In addition to being unable to upload pix, I've some how had small pieces of fabric get between the layers that I'm sewing (twice), I've had to rip out several seams and to top that off, I had my ironing board at chair level so that I could just turn and press and accidentally touched my right boob with the iron. I now know why grandma got rid of her wringer washer. Maybe I should quit for the day.
I think this must be true! i had a great day sewing yesterday and have spent 3 hours putting a block together only to have to take it apart again today!
