I think that would be lovely!! a large variety of sizes is what will make these quilts so special! I can't wait to see pictures of it finished.

    Cheers!

One of mine was made 12 x 12 with an extra 3 inch sky piece at the top. I figured it could be removed for anyone who wanted a 12 x 12 or left on for a 12 x 15. I was a little fearful of making them too big also, but thought this was a good solution.

I hope that 15x9 isn't too big, because I made a 15x12. This is so much fun.

I'm having a great time with it also. I recruited a friend of mine to join us also.

Nope not too big at all!! It'll just make the quilt bigger, nothing wrong with that!!!!! :) :)

I found that with the funky chicken block swap (which had the same type of size requirement) that I could pretty much get everyone 1 of the "big" blocks...then could scatter a good variety of sizes in with them. I think it worked out great..at least my quilt lays out really well. The few that I've seen laid out from that swap look great, so I hope you all will make a "Big" block! Variety of sizes, shapes, etc is what makes it so much fun!

Are these unfinished blocks - do we sandwich, bind and quilt before we send to you? I'm interested but....

debbra they're unfinished blocks, so make sure to have 1/4inch seam allowance on all sides! I hope you decide to join us.
