I like the second block too Klaws. It quiets the block some from the stripes. But, You are the creator, so you know best how you want it to look.

That is right for the Halloween swap it is 4 sets of 6. I know it is a little confusing. We will figure it out and see if we like the sets being 6 or 4 by trying them both between the two swaps. Right?

PLEASE make sure your blocks are the sizes that are specified in the swap rules, girls. I have had to toss a couple of mine because they were short by a quarter inch. I do have to warn you, I can't accept any blocks that are the wrong size and they will have to be returned un-swapped. I know this sounds harsh, but, I have to be the hostess first, right? Measure twice cut once.

Now that that is out of the way, I am ok with your daughter being in the swap if she signs up as a member. It is a good learning experience for younger quilter's to participate in something like this. Just let me know when you have her signed up owlvamp. Who knows where this could lead? Another Elenore Burns maybe?? LOL!

Since I'm new to this kind of swap, how do people put their names on their blocks?

I've never done it before either but I used my label maker and just printed out my name and stuck it to the back of the block.

    Talking Question on size

The finished block size can be any size block divisible by three. Note! Beginning with a 6 1/2" square. No 3 1/2" blocks on this swap!

    For example...the finished sizes can be, 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 , 6 1/2 x 9 1/2, 9 1/2 x 12 1/2 sized blocks. The max size being 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 . Please do not send just a cut piece of fabric as a block. It won't count towards you block sets and would have to be returned to you.

Hi, I have not joined in on any of your swaps from this site as I am fairly new. I am VERY interested in joining in this one as I love the quilts and blocks that have been shown. I do have a question concerning the sizes you mentioned in the first post. Should the blocks we send in be ex: 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 or is the finished size 6x6?? So the blocks we send in should be 7x7 as to have a finished block of 6 1/2 x 6 1/2??
Sorry, I just wanted to understand this correctly as I am starting on my sample block.
    Thank you, Toni Ann

Blocks being sent should be 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 so that the finished block will be 6x6.
