Oh my goodness gracious, I'm sorry that I gave you that impression. It really has not. With all my whining and whimpering I enjoyed working on it. ....and I am pleased to report that I have all the SID finished, pucker-free (my first ever pucker-free) yeah! Well - so far I saw a tiny tack on the backing but who cares? There's none on the front.

Now I need to tackle the center of the squares, the border, the binding and get the label on. I feel like I'm in the hone stretch.

    Doing the happy dance.

Hope you gus don't mind, but it helps to post updates here.
Last night, I sewed the binding on and trimmed the batting around. I think it is 80" square (probably more square-ish)

Still have not done the stitching around the hands but I needed to get all the overhang off and the edges clean.
    Progress is progress.

Good job Martina - I know it can be very motivating to write about your progress. Show some more pix if you can, you know that always feels good too!!

Well, I'm on side two of four. Slow going with lots of interruptions. Here is proof that I AM working on it. lol

I printed out an idea for the label but it doesn't read right. Please, if anyone could give me some feedback on how to make it read better. I'd sure appreciate it.

I LOVE your picture! You are so sweet looking!!!

Okay, what about, instead of the "by the international..." you say "a group quilt project from the quilters at www.quiltingboard.com."

sweet-looking where the emphasis is DEFINITELY on the "looking" part - hehe.

I'll rewrite your suggestion combined with Eddie's and I think we have a winner.

Oh, he took off the "made with love" part (on my PDA)

    I think it will be:

    "Hands of Hope"
    in honor of
    Kennedy Joyner
a group project by members of
