Glad you liked them...they were actually the easiest blocks. I tried piecing a logcabin pinwheel...OMG wonky wonky couldnt use it...tried another one, same thing. Had a different square in one and didnt like it too busy. Thought I need something a little less busy, so I just embroidered those two. Simply machine embroidered squares after a several really bad attempts at piecing(two full days worth of wasted squares lol). I had never done much piecing before..four patch and nine patch and once half squares. SO this is BIG stretch for me.

    Thanks for kind words :)

I wouldn't worry about it Margie, I just took the row to the fabric store and found colors in the same family. I'm sure whatever you do, it will be just fine.
I did that with the Round Robin center that we are doing. And the best part: the shop owner helped pick out fabrics and made lots of sugestions. It was wonderful having the help. :D

Margie, your work is beautiful :!:
I have seen it in person-I know :!:
You are doing a fabulous job and should be proud of yourself!

We all make wonky blocks sometimes. It is part of the learning process.
My favorite tool for this project: a 12 1/2 inch square ruler for the rotary cutter. I make the blocks a smidge large then trim them. And you can trim after each row on the log cabins and that keeps them squared up too.
All the hints that people have on here REALLY help me! That is how I found out there is a 1/4 inch foot for the machine among other things
