I did have an idea that might work....will put it out to everyone.
I KNOW I will have blocks left over. Was thinking on useing some of the blocks for the binding. I could take apart the "strips", then sew them together as binding. No worries on the extra work you think it might add...remember my Impersonator? :) :)
Also...what do you think about HUGS/KISSES embroidered around the quilt in some of the "O" blocks?
This is EVERYONE'S quilt....suggestions??

Sounds GREAT to me ! Love everything you are doing. One question , does the impersonator know about the extra work coming her way ? LOL I Trust you so what ever you feel is best

Another idea: Take the extra blocks and take apart so there are 2 rows -- sew these together for a border (in a checkerboard pattern). Then use a soft solid color for the binding?? Not as much work for the impersonator, but the end effect would be pretty....

I like the embroidery idea! And I think a 3" or 4" soft solid with the multi-color binding would be wonderful :D

I like the idea of the checkerboard border, do you think they'll be enough blocks over to go round both? If not, maybe you could do this just on the Dad's and a plain softish colour on the girls'. I don't think it would look bad with just a binding either BTW. As for the embroidery idea - LOVE IT!

The embroidery sounds great but that's a lot of work. Wish we all were closer to do it together. Like the checkerboard idea. Terri it's all your call you and the impersonator will doing all the work I'm afraid.
I thought for sure my package would be there today. :-( Tomorrow is another day. :-)
