    One set for me

    One set for Grammy2_b

Guess we just need to wait for her to confirm!

If she doesn't, I'm desperate to get another set to finish the other one. Greatniece would love to have an I Spy quilt and the first 40 didn't go far enough. My internet was down yesterday so I couldn't get on. Would really appreciate it if it would be possible. Thanks so much.

Is there enough interest for a 2nd swap? Send me some PMs and let me know what you think.

If we do a second swap maybe one could be for girls and the other be for boys?

My 2 sets are ready to mail and they are geared more towards boys than girls

I would do a second set if you started another swap.

ReRe just hostessed a swap asking for fabrics with pink in them "for girls"

I had a comparatively hard time finding fabrics with pink in them. (If it was something besides flowers)

Also, when shopping for fabrics, it's helpful to make an "audition template"

Cut out a 4-1/2 inch square in a larger square and then one can see how/if the fabric will cut apart nicely. I've found that not all prints seem to cut out well in 5-inch squares. Some work out better in a larger or smaller format. And some just don't cut apart well.

I think some prints do need to be fussy cut to work out well - and that uses a lot of extra fabric.

I am always up for a good I spy swap... just not thrilled with gender specific ones  Seems it is harder to find fabric that way, don't ask me why 8-) LOL

I'm sorry. I didn't want to be the cause of starting a whole new swap if everyone was happy with the one that had started. I just thought if the other person didn't reply that wanted to join, I could take her place. I know I'm doing mine for a little girl but the squares I already have from the last swap are generic so I probably would want to continue in the same vein. I'll wait to hear what the concensus is, but if I have to wait until the next time, I can. Course that's what I said the last one I missed. Maybe I'm just supposed to not get another set.
