Suggestion...to add to our swap...I like the idea of adding the signature/city, state to a piece of fabric...But I think if you find a fabric that reminds you of or represents a particular city/state etc maybe we could write a little note and attach....
Like my USA fabric I found in the antique shop made by JP Stevens...I would state why I bought it...memories of My FIL, never knew him but heard so many stories abt him and his job and just had to buy it.
I've also been looking on the internet and found NYC scenes etc...Some we buy might just be self explanatory but others not so much...Anyway, just a thought and I know I'd appreciate reading what certain fabrics mean....

Please count me in, Hubby says I can do it if it will make me happy and he want's to pay shipping. We will go to Edmonton in October for the big sale at Marshal and I will stock up on yardage and make FQ'S.

However I will send you payment by Paypal for return shipping as our postal office does not do SASE for Canadian's.

Not sure how many I will do though. :) I am so excited. Thanks so much for hosting this. :)

I just bought my FQs this past weekend. I'll be excited to see what I get in return!

Tell me, was any consensus reached regarding the size of the signature block? I seem to recall seeing 3 1/2" somewhere as a size ???? Also, can I write on a block of calico, or would you prefer something on white-on-white quilting fabric?
Last question, (what makes you think I've never taken part in a swap before?) what info should I write: Name, Forum name, country , what else ?????
    Thnx

    :-) Hello,
In swaps I've done on here before it has sometimes been a bit hit and miss when it comes to information. Some people just give the information you've mentioned, others give full addresses and or email addresses too. Personally, I've found the extra info. a nice touch because it means you can send a personal 'thank you' note if you want to and also keep in touch afterwards if you get on. I've made a couple of pen-pals that way.
Hope this helps, but I'm sure our organizer will let us know.
    Bye for now,
    Sue (aka rummage) x ;)

    Hi,
I'm really looking forward to this one too, International swaps are great fun and a super way to make new international friends.
When it come to payment I usually send $$$$$ to the organizer to cover my postage costs.

    Sue:

Thanks for your help!!!! I could not have said it any better!!!!
It is totally up to the swapper to do a signature scrap/block or just a piece of paper signed or not. It is not madatory. We want this to be just fun and NO pressure.

    Blessings!

Forgive me if this is the silliest question ever...but if I send fabric - do you just want whatever I think is nice - or does it need to be actual australian fabric? Made and printed here??
