So, 8" finished HST block. Bottom right light color, upper left fabric representing your area, home etc. Swap info on the lighter side.
Is this right?

Ok so maybe this is a dumb question is it a square block consisting of 2 triangles one light the left side and one Dark thr right side 8 1/2" or a triangle so she can take 2 people's triangles to make a square?

Hi, i would love to participate, but i will need to see an example....i am a very visual person and just reading the explanation confuses me...i know...i can be a pain ...lol if anyone can send me a photo plz...i`ll give you my e-mail addy if needed.....plenty of time till the end of march...
I really like Mrs B suggestion for her block........another one I have done is a half square triangle.....one half white or off white and the other half your fabric from your area. these could be 6 to 8 inch-es and Carsey would not have to sash or worry about butting up two fabrics next to each other..........does this make sense ??!!! Anyway.....I will do whatever the majority decides.

This is the consensus:
Create a block consisting of 2 triangles. ====> 8 1/2 UNfinished for Carsey (It will make 8 finished).
The top left will be dark representative of state/country and the bottom right will be light and contain text.
Visual of block (Note: Not to size 8 1/2"):
