My block is done !!!! I did the 9 1/2 light sqaure and 9 1/2 dark square-- thinking I will keep the second for myself...
Yup.... I signed the wrong block !! Was so excited I did not make a mistake writing the message. Well took the "right" block and wrote my message and did it again without a mistake --- yeah !!! I did square mine to 8 3/4 unfinished - just in case my 8 1/2 and Carole's 8 1/2 are not the same. She can square it up to her 8 1/2. Hope to get it in the mail in the next couple of days.

I made my block last night. I'll send it out some time this week. I hope she'll like all the blocks.

I keep thinking about the quilt squares for Carsey. How many swappers did we have? Wasn't it over 100? If we all made 8" squares, don't you think that 8" would be too big? I don't mind making 8" HST but I'm thinking that will be enough for several quilts. Found this online: You would only need fifty six 12" blocks for a queen size quilt. If we made the blocks half that size as in a 6" block, we will need 112 blocks. Of course 8" blocks could be cut down.....unless someone writes too close to the edge. Just wondering what you think? Whatever the decision is, someone needs to post a picture to make sure everyone has their HST made the same way with the signature in the same position, otherwise it sounds like a zoo. LOL
