I have company right now (GF from Germany). As soon as she leaves, I'll work on the row to get it out. Blocks are already picked out.

OK, I have a problem with row 5. The blocks came together without a hitch. The blocks went together into a row without a hitch. The row sewed to the others without a hitch. At this point I was real suspicious. ....and then I opened it.

I used fabric from my stash but I only had white (no white with black) and it sure is glaring. Imho it sticks out like a sore thumb. So how to salvage?

There are two options: I can use markers and stamps to artfully "blackify" the white to take it down a notch.
OR I can (with permission of course) split the seam between rows 2 and 3 and flip it so the purple is in the middle.
There may even be more options - Please any suggestions would be appreciated.

My vote is for you to become crafty. Get out your markers and stamps. See what you can do with it! I love your blocks. Go for it and have fun!

I - JUST - CAN'T - DO - IT! Going shopping for new white (or rather not so white) fabric and starting over. Not happy with my work so work won't go out.

Take your time, don't worry about getting it out by the 15th. I have several projects going right now so won't get to it for awhile anyway.

Well, the replacement blocks/row gave me the usual trouble so I figured it must be the better choice. lol It looks sooo much better with the white/black patterned fabric. Glad I stuck to my guns and changed it. Sorry - no pic yet.

I knew you would work it out. Sorry it took doing it twice. In my book, it is always best to go with your gut instinct. Great job!

We do have a mailing date upon us...Yes, our final mailing date is THIS FRIDAY. It would be totally awesome to finish on time. Please let me know if there is a problem or if you will need a few extra days.

This has been a great swap. I look forward to doing another next year.
