Well ladies, I've been mulling something over for a while now and would appreciate your opinions here:

    1. I want to totally entrust my top to all of your talented interpretations, no input from me along the way.

    2. On the other hand, I'd like to request one restriction, but by doing so feel I am interfering with your creative process.

    Any thoughts??

    Ok, I'll bite.
What do you want done/ not done to this centre.
Seeing I've got it first, you vcan either pm me, or post it on the thread.
    Happy either way
    Linda

I kind of look at it like this, It is your center, and if at all possible within our own talents and capibilities, we should do/or not do, what you want.

Sew Cornie, what is it that you don't want done with your quilt?

Okay, I'd like to request that my quilt be critter free. I'd prefer we stay away from butterflies, ladybugs, dragonflies, cats, camels, toads, elephants, horned owls, great white sharks, and whatever else moves and breathes. I don't want to offend anyone because I know some of you love butterflies, but I'm just not feeling it for this quilt in particular. Thanks for letting me impose.

That's not an imposition , nor offensive. And if it helps, I looked at this centre, and much a I'd like to put butterflies etc on most things, yours just doesn't ask for any. At least not yet.
And that restriction doesn't even impinge on my creative side. There's p[lenty of fabrics out there that don't have "critters"on them.

I agree with Lindyline. I have ideas for your center and they don't include "critters". Not every quilt asks for them and this one doesn't.

I don't see any problem with asking for a certain thing to be left off your quilt top. It's no different than asking not to use a certain color. Just include a note with your center.
