The watching/commenting in all the threads will probably be the best way...unless we can come up with another solution and with the size of the group...I don't think there is one.

I'm more worried about making sure they all get to and from their destinations than I am in everyone being able to keep up with them all
I've bookmarked all 10 Group threads so I can check in on each one as I have time for. That seems to work pretty well so far and my email in box doesn't get too full with updates.

    Sara...here you go:

Centers Size: Owners discretion OCT 15, 2009

    Round 1 Size: 3" finished DEC 1, 2009

    Round 2 Size: 5" finished FEB 15, 2010

    Round 3 Size: 6” Finished APRIL 15, 2010

    Round 4 Size: 7” Finished JUNE 15, 2010

    Round 5 Size: 8” Finished AUG. 15, 2010

    * Please make sure you add ½” seam allowances to your borders. I can’t tell you the what size the top should be at each point due to the differences in the original center sizes.

    * I added a little extra time for round 2 for the holidays.

    * If you cannot mail out on time, please notify your group Point person.

ok, not in IRR swaps, but trying to 'observe'...for future.
I notice this thread isn't locked, but no one has commented since 10-31-09.
Someone please tell me how to keep up with all these different swaps?
You must have it sorted out by now.
I see numbers, but some of them look similar to me.
Are there, say, a group 2, then and IRR 2? or is it my imagination that some groups have similar numbers?

There is: Group 1 - pictures through Group 10 IRR2 (after the group number)
In order to keep up, I have found each of the groups, and then clicked on "Watch this Topic" ... whenever anyone posts to their group, you will receive an email as an update.
I found all of them by going to search and typing in the Group #

As I've been working on these centers and watching all the others progress, I've wondered what it would be like to do one completely on my own:

make a center without a plan for the whole quilt. let it speak to me. add a border. wait. listen. add a border. etc.

Have any of you ever made a quilt like this without a plan first? I've never done it and it would be a HUGE challenge for me as I'm such a planner. But it seems like it would be quite intriguing.

    Thoughts?

This quilt was done that way.

That's very pretty. I love the scrappy look of the inner borders. They're perfect for the sunflower. Thanks for sharing!
