Well, Ladies (Ninnie and K). Butterflyspain talked me into it. So if I start walking around with a nervous twitch, it's HER fault! Now it's your turn (to join the IRR, not the nervous twitch). I found a large tradionally pieced block to do.

Hurrah, Ducky, well done! Perhaps I will be working on your quilt, who knows! Now you have to work on Ninnie.

I feel the same way Ducky and it took several days for me to pluck up the courage to join. :D

If I get stuck on ideas I know the ladies, and gents, will help.

    yippy! ducky

Ninnie - you've got to jump in on this - its not meant to be a pressure thing. its a fun, worldwide event that won't take place again until fall 2010 or even winter 2011 - do you really want to pass on such a blast.

kwhite - you should come in for the US. you can always put the bigger tops into a flat rate bag and shipping would be rather inexpensive. then just use fabric from your stash or put a shout out for a squishy. tons of people on the forum will be happy to help you take part in this challenge.

We are all (or a good few of us) in the same boat Pam, and I have constantly read here that there aren't any quilt police on this board, so we are OK, aren't we? And we will all help each other. I shall be constantly asking for ideas, I am sure. Not to mention wondering what fabric to use, given that my LQS stands for LITTLE quilt shop in this instance. I doubt if it carries 300 bolts of fabric, so I shall be ordering online and hoping it arrives quickly, so that I can make a start.

WOW!!! So here I go, no wading , but jumping right off that diving board!!!
I'm in, for the international rounds.
I was in the kitchen coking dinner, when it dawned on me, I was going over ideas for my center    Nothing like planning ahead. I have wanted to do this every since joining the board in March, and following all the beautiful quilts. So , no going back, but full steam ahead for me!!!
Now, if you all will excuse me, I have to go throw up!!!

 OMG, Ninnie! I feel the same way (let's not be in the same room, then, okay?) I told my sister "I feel like throwing up" - my exact words. And, like you, I've already been planning my center block and have a fairly good idea on colors.

Well done Ninnie and Ducky, I have been posting your diaries with congratulations and soothing noises - if all else fails, eat chocolate.
