Thanks for doing all of the 'leg work' for us, Klue. Great fabrics and now, if I should decide to do this RR, I think I may go with an All Amercana theme if I do the US only and an Around the World theme w/ signatures if I do Int. ooohhh   i can't decide.

Thanks for doing such a thoughtful fabric search for me!
Hummmm Great idea. My MIL was President Judge here and she has passed. I am wondering if this would be a way to make a quilt in memory of her without letting DH know about it. I know he would cry!!!

Plus for us US only peps we could include a flag of our state/region.

not only can they do a flag, but there's state flowers, there's state stars blocks by carol doak, there's state birds, etc - the regional things about the US are endless.

the NY beauty is a block based on the Statue Of Liberties crown.

its a way of representing your legal background, your american background, and you can use whatever colors you like.
hey - fantastic idea. I'll look up the blocks.

Okay, just looked up New York Beauty and it's PERFECT!!! I have never paper pieced, so it's going to be a big learning curve for me. Perhaps I can find a pattern that doesn't require paper piecing. I found a wonderful site with free patterns that I can use, but they are all paper pieced. I have to get to work now, but will do more research on this when I get a minute today!

Thanks for the suggestions - this is going to be great fun!

K, you are about to learn about places taking part in this RR. Do Canadian regions have flowers? Provinces, not states and yes, each one has it's own flag, emblem, bird and flower! Here's a link to pictures of the flowers:

And, just in case you're not sure about all the state flowers, here's a link to them:

I kind of like the birds idea http://www.members.shaw.ca/kcic1/birds.html

I think I know what I am doing. It will take a while though.

    Thank you BZang.

I like the bird idea too except for the fact that my state bird is ugly.
