    So!
The way this will work is: We each make our center pieces.
Then, we receive a package from the person before us.
But, the next exchange will mean that I am making the second border ...
so, in the end of the exchange, we will have all actually made a complete quilt, but not all the same border ....
I was sort of hoping that I could do the second border over and over again! <g> Its that compulsive/obsessive thing ... now that I have a name for it, I am just letting it have its way with my mentality! LOL
It has actually taken me this long to figure out that I will get to experience each step of the quilt, but not on the same quilt ...
    what a clever concept!
Lord! I hope I live long enough .... I will have to call the attorneys and get it put into my will just in case! LOL ... or! never mind ... I forgot what I was going to say <g>

    1. I make my center square - Does it have to be a certain size... as I have a 19" square I would love to use.
    2. I will work on 6 other quilts - having 2 mo to finnish that border on each of the quilts and send on to the next person.
    3. make a label to send along with my center square.

    Well what have I forgotten????????

I really want to join but not sure....... I understand everything.
Have never done a round robin - sure sounds like fun.

    Scrap Quilter
You have it bang on Scrapquilter. Go ahead and make your 19" square, but you will have to add a border of 5 inches The finished square needs to be 24" PLUS a 1/2" seam allowance remember, for the next border.
and yes each border is bigger.

    Omak,

LOL we all hope to live long enough to complete this :D

You have the concept correct. Each parcel you receiving will require a slightly larger border. Print out the Rules on Page 1 of this Topic and you can refer to it. I did that with the first RR I did and it really helps.

So the deadline for sign up is August 15. When do the centres get mailed out?

We are still working out the dates but if all runs to plan it will be 2 months after that date. We will give extra working time to include Christmas and the New Year, so absolutely no stress okay. Donīt quote me though its Patti who is in charge.

That's cool! Was having a wee panic attack thinking the centres had to be ready to go by August 15.

I have the rules printed out, and stuck on my wall, but that's as far as I've got! LOL

Klue, I read that you were going to be using water soluble thread.

This is great for your own projects, but just think if someone inadvertently got a mark on your quilt and decided to wash it. Disaster would strike. Pleas correct me if I am thinking wrongly.

Can everyone just make a little note that everything needs to be washable whatever you do. If you embellish it make sure its washable. Sew any sequins or buttons, whatever on very strongly. The quilts will be 14 months in the handling and everyone I am sure will be very careful, but as we all know life happens.
