I so want to join, especially after looking at the latest pictures of round five! You guys are ding amazing work! I have to think about it for a few days, but if I did I would have to do the USA/Canada. I would love to do the international but with money the way it is right now...
I will let you guys know after the weekend.

I wonder if there are enough people living in Canada to have a Canadian round?

Nope, I have already looked into that, We have only 3 or 4 members who regularly post so its not really possible.

What do you need most -- international or US/Canada?

We could do with a few more international, but its really not a problem. America being such a vast country, the quilt can go coast to coast. Patti and I are going to have a heads together shortly to sort it all out and put people in Groups. So its really exciting.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I've been following the thread and thinking about signing up, but the cost scares me a little - so if I do it will have to be US/Canada.

I don't want to ask the organizers to do extra work, because I know it's a big effort to run this in the first place, but would it be possible to organize the US/Canada groups geographically (eg. North-East, Mid-West) to keep the postage costs to a minimum?

i don't think thats going to make a difference because aside from the 1st mailing odds are its going to be cheaper to ship US items via Flat Rate Priority envelope which is like $4.60 anywhere within the US.

Jan , we have already thought of that, we will be working out who is nearest who. We only have one Canadian who has joined us so you can have only USA. I thought more Canadians would have joined us. In any case you will always mail to the same person in your Group. So hope I have answered your question and allayed your fears.
It will be lovely to have you on board.

The format is the same, PM your name, address and email plus your telephone No. (Telephone in case of emergency only) And confirm your preference Group, i.e., International or USA
