Yes, I have an idea for it, not sure HOW well it's going to work. I posted a picture of a postcard that Izy sent me and thought it'd make a cute center for one. I think for the other, I'm just going to find a cool looking block or maybe do a Carpenters Wheel. Not sure yet.

I know, a first for me too and I'm thrilled beyond words. I can't wait to watch this unfold.

I LOVE the idea of a board retreat in 2010. I wish I could offer my house in sunny CA, but my DH would have a fit. I would think a house in VA could be found, or a retreat place that we could all go in on....Wasn't there one posted in Michigan not too long ago? It looked like a fabulous place!!

Ladies....need your word of mouth to pass along that we had 1 "mind changer"...so we have 1 more USA spot available...anyone???? Ya'll heard of someone who would like to play but missed it? Pass the word...and pm me!

As soon as we get the slot filled and Elle and I fiddle with the groups a little bit more...I will at least mail that out to ya'll so you'll know who you will be working with.

    ONE MORE SPOT STILL OPEN!!!

I'm a first-timer, too. My star was not what I was originally thinking of doing at all - but when I when I saw it, I loved it and had to try it. Wanted to be sure I could do it (pattern says advanced), so if it didn't (doesn't :? ) turn out, I still have time to do something else.

Take my hat off to you doing that one, now THAT would drive me crazy all those tiddly fiddly pieces. Good luck with it though because it looks so good.
Is there a way of cutting on the straight grain so you do get so much give in the fabric, but then if you are using bits from other quilts I suppose tht woud be hard.
