Oh, missgigglewings, I really like what youve done with that block. Maybe I shouldn't work on this one, cos I really may keep it!!

missgigglewings, I would leave it in a rectangle. You will have a rectangle quilt in the end and one that should fit a full size bed. Its bright and colorful and fun just the way it is.

I'm so confused right now. Boo Hoo.
You do not NEED to have a square center. You can do a RECTANGULAR center as long as the measurements are no smaller than 12" (or rather 12.5) in one direction and no larger than 24" (or rather 24.5") in the other. ANYTHING in between there will work.

Does that help unconfuse? If you start with a rectangle, the finished top will be rectangular. If you start square, the top will be square.

.....and definitely take into consideration what tlrnhr wrote about the orientation.

Yes...that makes sense. And that's what I'm trying to do. Thank you for your help. :-D

O.K. ladies here is my center. It is a 15.5 by 15.5 I hope that works!

points are a little off but I'm alright with that. This is the second time I have paper pieced.

Yet another great block, full of possibilities. Never understood until now what it meant when someone posted that their fingers were itching to get ahold of one of them.
Seems like such a long time away until we start this.
