I'll tell ya'll a little secret...if you look back at the Round Robins posted on this board you will start to notice something......the more simple the center....the more beautiful the quilt becomes as it grows! It seems that it gives others more opportunity to become really creative with the borders. So...don't sweat coming up with this "WOWSER" type of center...Just relax and do something that you like in the colors that you love. Others will pick up on your taste from there and you'll love the end result.
Thanks for that info.I have been stressing that my center is to simple and I need to do more and better. You said just what I needed. Cindy

Sometimes a simple center is the best. Gives those who recieve it a little more leeway to do a border. When a center is VERY "complicated", the borders can be a pain to figure out.

Purplesharon, is it possible for you to trim one of the borders off so that it would meet the size limit? That way you can still use it.
