Just like the colors, the fan gave lots of choices with color, and the white w/tulip is almost the last of a favorite, might as well use it in something memorable.
    Happy Quilting !! :)

You make a very good point, Patti. For the IRR 2, I had a theme fabric and extensive applique. The whole quilt is coming together based on the theme I chose. For the IRR 3, I wanted to loosen the strings, so to speak, by using a simple block and have absolutely no preset thoughts in my mind as to where this one may go. This quilt will lead the direction for its growth more than I will. This isn't to knock theme centers at all. They are very fun to work with, but personally, my goal for this IRR has shifted from my last experience. In IRR 2, I thought more about the quilt and what it would become. In IRR 3, I'm wanting to enjoy the freedom of creativity that my center will provide to the rest of my group. All that said, the centers posted here are all wonderful and will make incredible quilts! I'm very excited to see so many people joining in, both IRR returners and novices.

I'll tell ya'll a little secret...if you look back at the Round Robins posted on this board you will start to notice something......the more simple the center....the more beautiful the quilt becomes as it grows! It seems that it gives others more opportunity to become really creative with the borders. So...don't sweat coming up with this "WOWSER" type of center...Just relax and do something that you like in the colors that you love. Others will pick up on your taste from there and you'll love the end result.
