Well it has been about 9 days since anyone posted in our group, one assumes then that we are all flat out. I am but not due to quilting  No matter how hard I try to find the time to quilt anything at all this past week it just hasn't happened. The next 3 weeks are going to be a wash out for me as well so in this respect it is probably just as well that the current centre is remaining especially quiet on what it wants next. :D

My biggie was getting ready for Thanksgiving!!! My husband has a large family and between us we have eight children...six of which are married and most have children. I cooked an got ready for 65 at my house for Thanksgiving! 55 adults and 10 children. Needless to say I am a little tired today!!! Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Ours reminded us that no matter what there should always be time for family even if they aren't always your best friend!

Good Grief! Kay, what a gathering you had over Thanksgiving. I can imagine it would have been a lot of work. We have only 32 in our family gatherings although this would be significantly more now all the 'kids" are married with children of their own now should they decide to join in the family gatherings now.Our gatherings are now reduced to at most 14 when we get together at Christmas though mainly are around 10 which is what it will be this year.

OH...that wasn't all of them...there are four families (14 more people) that are my husband's children...I really don't know how many there would be if they all came...two of his siblings and their families don't come another 20 or so! There are 100 plus if everyone decides to come! And yes it is a lot of work...especially since it rained and they all had to be inside out of the rain and cold! My DH helps all he can but it still is a lot of work...I went to bed at 7pm Thanksgiving night...I was woren to a nub.

I have a start on Kay's center, and now will have time to get back to it and get it done, I hope before Christmas. I am also working on Bonnie Hunter's Mystery quilt, and a couple of Christmas presents.
We have been such a quiet group, hope the pace -and the "chatter"- will pick up again after the holidays.
