I lurked here for a while but started following the doll quilt swap. Everyone was having too much fun, so that's when I joined and got involved. I'm so glad I did! I'm a newbie to quilting and this was what I needed to help motivate me.
Girl I got your first doll quilt (I think) it is awsome. Newby my eye!!! You rock!!!

I am in this doll quilt swap! I am very basic with my quilting skills but these have been so cute I really can't resist. I'm also not very creative so please be patient with me! I'm super excited about joining this (although i should be working on my daughters actual quilt but this will get me inspired!) anyway i'm from VT so lots of fun ideas to toy with I think. can't wait to get started. if anyone has ideas please pass them along, I don't mind!

Nothing like waiting until the last minute, but please count me in.

I have been reading, and I think I'm having a brainstorm session, right here, all by myself.
This is going to be so much fun.

Welcome Rymer and Mountainquilter. You both will be so happy you joined in on the fun. Doll quilts are so much fun and a lot quicker than a big one. They are especially fun to receive from another quilter.

You won't be the only first timer. I have never done one either, but they look like so much fun I wanted to give one a try.

thank you! I'm nervous of my quilting skills....they aren't that good but I'll try my best! whoever is my partner, just know there's a lot of love in the quilt and look beyond all the blunders!! LOL

Rymer....all of our stitches in all of the doll quilts were done with love...we don't worry about what you might think are blunders..there are NO quilt police here...we all just appreciate the friendship that comes with each little quilt! Don't worry...your quilt will be loved just like ALL the rest of them!
