Ya know, Talk Like A Pirate Day is in September... perhaps a nautical theme to commemorate that would be fun, as well. And National Chocolate Day is in October. I think there could be room for a second choice theme each month.

I would rather not have to do a theme. I would like to have an option to do it or not. No problem with having a theme but I don't want to have to do one every month. I would like to be able to choose when there is a theme between doing the theme or doing a traditional one. I may want to join the theme or not. That is probably too open ended but I don't want to be tied to a theme all the time.

Hey All...I got the fabric for the quilt top washed/dried and ironed last night. Tonight I will start cutting (I hope!). Once I have the top pieced I'll be able to figure out what to back it with and see if I can find any embelishments. I don't have a lot of time to shop so we'll see. As it is, I only get about an hour each night to work on quilting/sewing. and that's if I'm not too tired! geesh you'd think i was older than 33!! these 2 kids wear me out. anyway I finally got all my daughter's fabric cut for her princess quilt and arranged. I'm working on 2 projects at once. that's rough for a newbie with little time on her hands.....LOL!

While the themes are great....I agree with Rhonda (well, unless ya'll want to send all the birthday quilts to me  )...I'd like to be able to choose whether to do the theme or not. Sometimes I'd like to...sometimes I wouldn't. Sometimes I'd just like to try out some technique that I otherwise wouldn't .

February will probably be theme-less, but if we do ever have a theme it will be optional. And always feel free to create your own themes for any month!
