Mushroom hunting is a favorite pasttime here in Iowa too. I have lots of memories of mushrooming with my dad. I taught my kids to sight them.

My darling quilt from Youme has arrived from Japan. I'm sorry I'm still not able to get my camera and my computer to work together. Maybe Youme took a picture?

I think the pattern is called a cathedral window? The centers are a beautiful assortment of silks. A few silk button accents, and lovely hand quilting (you'll never see that on my work, lol).

My Finger Lakes Lady should be on the way to you tomorrow, Youme. Hmm, was the deadline to mail the end of January, or the deadline to receive? I'm hoping mail, as even meeting that deadline has been a stretch for me this month.

I also received some nice Japanese snacks and a great mug from Starbucks.

The little quilts that Panda (youme) makes are adorable. The fabric is really nice...she knows of ALL the great places in her area to find the good stuff. Yes, the goodies she sends are yummy....
Starbucks mug? Hmmm.....does it say Tokyo? What's it say? I'm thinking there's a new Starbucks mug I need to find on my next trip to Tokyo which will be REALLY soon since we are leaving sort of soon. Gotta add a new one to my collection!

    edit to add---
    Panda, that's cute!!!!

Cute quilt youme! I want one! So happy you took a picture! We love pictures! This was a great reminder to take pictures of your quilts before you send them in case your partner doesn't have a camera. We have to see all these beauties! I think that's the best part of these swaps.
