January 2018 - Paper Pieced Kaleidoscope block swap
Welcome to our Paper Pieced Kaleidoscope block swap. We will be making 6 1/2" unfinished blocks using the free pattern and template from Quilters Cache:
http://www.quilterscache.com/images4...oscopetemp.gif
The template and instructions will make one kaleidoscope block measuring 6 1/2" unfinished.
Please print out lots of copies of the template as we will be making lots and lots of Kaleidoscope quilt blocks!!
If you look online you'll see that the success of these quilts depends on High Contrast. Let's step it up a little bit for this swap and each make 4 sets (32 blocks - 16 light/dark and 16 dark/light).
Each swapper may decide paper on/paper off - either one is fine. Each swapper may use whatever mailing method is most cost-effective as long as you make sure to pay for return postage.
I encourage each swapper to use a variety of different fabrics in your various kaleidoscope blocks. Each block is to have a max of 3 different fabrics; one light, one dark and light/neutral corners. The picture below is an example.
Please PM me with:

Our mailing deadline will be Friday February 23, 2018. This will allow all of us plenty of time to finish and mail our blocks. Please use whatever mailing method is most cost effective for you as long as you include/pay for return postage. ((or pay for the postage and put it on your return envelope)). It depends on what your PO will allow you to do. Please Label Your Quilt Blocks. Any blocks not labeled will be returned unswapped.
This is going to be loads of fun! Let's Go!!
