Fear not!! I'm 99.999% sure I'll be doing a Batiks Revisited swap in the near future and I will give 'first dips' to those who didn't get in on this one. (I have the list. You can't fool me) LOL

love seeing what is coming up.

will it also be D4p or do you switch how they need to be made?

Excellent question and something I've been thinking about. I have ideas for ~~ 4 or 5 more color combo/themes for the D4P as long as there is interest in continuing with this particular block. I've also been thinking about doing another quilt block altogether; was thinking we could maybe choose something from Bonnie Hunter's free quilt patterns. Or maybe do a swap with the Bento Box? I found a pattern onlline - really cool w/ modified instructions. I have some other ideas too.

It really depends on what everyone else wants to do. I'm game!

I like the D4P because it's easy, quick, looks good, and gives opportunities to set the blocks different ways for different looks. I think I could make too many D4ps because I have people I can give quilts to.

I also like trying new blocks. I enjoy Quiltville and scrappy quilts and ideas for scrappy quilts.

As a plan for doing batik again was put forward, it might be nice to do it in a different pattern because some of the people who are doing this swap might like to join again, and in that case they wouldn't be doing the same block again. On the other hand, if they want to make their project a larger size, doing the same block again could be really great!

I was thinking about joining but thought I would make one first to see how much time it would take me before I joined so I could be sure I would be able to have them finished. Alas I didn't get even one block done as yet. So it is just as well but may be I can join in another time. I'll try to keep an eye on these.

Here's my plan for the rest of the year, all with the D4P block (unless I decide to throw in another surprise):

    Mar - Patriotic – red/white/blue
Apr- Civil War Reproduction - any color w/ light colored shirting fabric
May - Asian w/ solid black
June - Chocolate covered Cherries - browns and pinks
July – Batiks Revisited - Batiks w/ solid black (1st dibs to those who didn't get in on the January swap)
    August – Christmas (obvious)
Sept – black/white - black on white or white on black with solid black or solid white
    Oct – Autumn
    Nov – red/white
Dec - floral/off-white - small scale floral no bigger than a quarter paired with off-white
